About

Hi, I’m Nathan Magnuson. I’m the founder of Leadership-in-a-Box®, a “ridiculously practical leadership development company, as well as a speaker and executive consultant. I help executive and HR teams solve their organizations’ most pressing leadership challenges.

I believe that one of the greatest gifts in all of life is the gift of being well led. I believe another is the gift of being able to contribute meaningful work. And I still believe that we can change the world… and that we must!

For about 12 years I served in leadership & organizational development roles in Fortune 500 companies like Accenture, HCA Healthcare, Tenet Healthcare and MASCO. Now, I’m able to serve organizations like yours directly with Leadership-in-a-Box®. Leadership and HR teams typically reach out when they need a new leadership strategy, new training programs, engagement & retention ideas, a speaker, a coach or when something’s wrong and they just need help.

If you’d like to know more, check out the Leadership-in-a-Box® site – or simply contact me at nathan@nathanmagnuson.com.

I’m also a military veteran, having served in Operation Iraqi Freedom with the U.S. Army Special Operations. It’s impossible not to build leadership skills in the military and so many of them translate to the corporate world!

In addition to corporate work, I’ve authored two books, Stand Out! (for young professionals) and Ignite Your Leadership Expertise and several white papers. I hope you’ll check them out! On this site, you’ll find over 250 articles on topics that apply to leadership situations you are likely to encounter on an everyday basis. My goal is to make leadership seem easier, less complicated and more fun.

If you haven’t already done so, I invite you to subscribe via email or RSS. That way my posts will be automatically delivered to your inbox. I also share updates on social media: Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.
